## Purpose
Sets additional safeguards for photographs, videos, imaging, operative footage, case discussions, pathology, voice, clinical documents and other educational material derived from patient care.

## Core requirements
Use must have a legitimate educational purpose; source institution requirements must be respected; consent/authorisation must be appropriate to the intended use; identifiable information must be minimised; access must match sensitivity; and release must not interfere with clinical, legal or institutional obligations.

## Screening before release
1. Patient-identifying information present?
2. Face/voice/distinctive identifiers visible?
3. Consent/authorisation adequate for the intended audience and medium?
4. Source institution permission required/obtained?
5. Imaging/report overlays de-identified?
6. Dates, IDs, labels and metadata appropriately handled?
7. Case narrative contains indirect identifiers?
8. Educational value justifies retained detail?
9. Access should be public, member-only, cohort-only or restricted?
10. Withdrawal pathway recorded?

## Surgical/operative material
Operative footage should identify the educational objective, procedure/context, faculty/contributor, permissions basis and any limitations. It must not be represented as a substitute for supervised training or credentialing.

## Sensitive material
Where adequate consent, authority or de-identification cannot be established, the resource must not be publicly released. Restriction does not cure an unlawful or unauthorised use.

## Withdrawal
A credible privacy, consent, rights or institutional concern triggers prompt restriction pending review. Audit history is retained even if public access is removed.
