# GeNext MedEd Foundation — Grievance, Complaint & Resolution Standard

## Purpose
Provides learners, faculty, mentors, researchers, collaborators and institutional participants a defined pathway to raise concerns and receive fair, proportionate review.

## Concerns covered
Programme delivery; assessment process; supervision; professional conduct; discrimination/harassment; retaliation; privacy; authorship/contribution; certificate discrepancies; research integrity; institutional representation; access or administrative issues.

## Pathway
1. Concern received and assigned a case reference.
2. Immediate safety/privacy/evidence-preservation needs assessed.
3. Conflict check and appropriate reviewer assigned.
4. Scope, applicable standards and information required defined.
5. Relevant parties given reasonable opportunity to respond where appropriate.
6. Evidence reviewed.
7. Decision/action documented.
8. Outcome communicated proportionately.
9. Appeal/review option identified when available.
10. Case closed with retention and confidentiality controls.

## Informal resolution
Minor operational issues may be resolved promptly without formal investigation when safe, fair and acceptable to the affected parties. Serious allegations must not be downgraded merely for convenience.

## Confidentiality and retaliation
Information is limited to those who reasonably need it for review, protection or action. Retaliation for raising a concern in good faith or participating in a review is prohibited.

## External processes
Nothing in this standard restricts a person from approaching an employer, institution, statutory body, ethics committee, professional regulator, law-enforcement authority or court where applicable.
