Purpose
This pack provides the controlled records required to move governance roles from proposed/vacant status to formally constituted/assigned status. It does not itself constitute any body or appointment until approved and executed by the competent Governing Authority.

Mandate
The Academic Council is the Foundation-level academic standards and programme-governance body. Its remit includes academic standards, programme approval/review, curriculum principles, faculty/mentor eligibility frameworks, assessment and certification standards, academic communities, and academic-quality escalation.

Boundaries
The Council does not replace host-institution clinical governance, statutory registration, university authority, professional councils, IEC/IRB authority, regulators or other competent external authorities.

Every later appointment, resignation, reconstitution, delegation, suspension or closure must retain the earlier record and update the relevant controlled register rather than overwrite institutional history.
